The Mastre Cooks organisation was created in Belgium in 1980 under the impulse of Pierre Romeyer. Just like his friend Paul Bocuse in France, Pierre put his talent as a prestigious chef and excellent communicator to support the traditions and qualities of our world reputated gastronomy.
Under the presidency of Robert Van Düren, the association has currently 80 members of which all of the most prestigious establishements in the country. The association supports the fundamental values of top gastronomy whilst not forgetting the perpetual advancements of this art. The organisation is the initiator of all major culinary competitions in the country.
Their credo is : savoir-faire (know-how), intelligence and professional behaviour of a chef as well as the top quality of the products used for all recipies.
